SOCS In Pjs: SOCS Summer Sleepover

The SOCS Summer Sleepover is an event that is offered exclusively to incoming first year students who will be living off-campus, providing them with the opportunity to experience McMaster campus in an entirely unique way, prior to beginning in September. The sleepover provides students with the opportunity to meet other first year students, much like themselves, who are planning to live off-campus, as well as become connected with several SOCS reps, who will be facilitating the programming. Through this experience, students will be able to have myths debunked and questions answered while building relationships with students prior to Welcome Week. A guided McMaster campus tour, a tour of the beautiful Westdale Village, guest speakers, as well as evening activities such as a night hike, bonfire, board games are just a few of the activities that will be included on the day's itinerary. Accommodations will also be included: students will be staying the night in one of McMaster’s residence buildings. Meals will include dinner and snacks, as well as breakfast and lunch the next day. The fee for the event will be $80/participant, and will cover accommodations, meals, programming, and SOCS “swag” (e.g. waterbottles). This is a great opportunity to connect with the campus and the society that represents off-campus students. We hope you to see you there! Deadline for Registration: Thursday, July 28th, 2016 Any questions or concerns can be directed to Cheryl Joseph and Amanda Thiessen at planners4socs@gmail.com.
